In order to rapidly attenuate the vibration of the frame and the body and improve the smoothness and comfort of the car, the car suspension system is generally equipped with shock absorbers, and the car widely uses two-way acting cylinder shock absorbers.
Shock absorber testing includes shock absorber performance test, shock absorber durability test, shock absorber double excitation test. Carry out dynamogram test, friction test, temperature characteristic test, etc. for various types of shock absorbers.

First, make the car stop after driving 10km on the road surface with poor road conditions, touch the shock absorber shell with your hand, if it is not hot enough, it means that there is no resistance inside the shock absorber, and the shock absorber does not work. At this time, appropriate lubricating oil can be added, and then the test is carried out, if the shell is hot, it is a lack of oil inside the shock absorber, and sufficient oil should be added; Otherwise, the shock absorber fails.
Second, press the bumper hard, and then release, if the car has 2~3 jumps, it means that the shock absorber is working well.
Third, when the car is driving slowly and braking urgently, if the car vibrates more violently, it indicates that there is a problem with the shock absorber.
Fourth, remove the shock absorber to stand upright, and clamp the lower end connecting ring on the vice, pull the vibration damper several times, at this time there should be stable resistance, the resistance to pull up (restoration) should be greater than the resistance when pressing down, such as unstable resistance or no resistance, it may be a lack of oil inside the shock absorber or damage to valve parts, and the parts should be repaired or replaced.
